Juuli kokkuvõte

Juuli seisuga olen kokku vaadanud 192 filmi ja ületan eelmist aastat hetkel 12. filmiga, kusjuures 2009. filmipäevikus olid mul lühifilmid (10) ja stand-up'd (11) ka sees. Rääkides seisa-püsti komöödiatest... sel kuul sai neid päris mitu tükki silmatud. Louis C.K. käib George Carlin'i jalajälgedes ja ongi hetkel tegutsevatest koomikutest mu #1. Augustis võtan kindlasti tema eelmise seriaali "Lucky Louie" ette, mis lõpetati jällegi ebaõiglaselt vara. Ja hakage ometi "Louie"-t vaatama! Miniseriaal "The Lost Room" ongi nii hea nagu kõik räägivad.

Pluss veel üks tulikuum soovitus: "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace". Vaadake seriaalide alt pilte või seda videot ja kui jääte külmaks, siis peate kiiremas korras arsti poole pöörduma... Garth Marenghi poole. 6-osaline seriaal on Tuubis täiesti olemas.




Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'i tahan uuesti näha, et lõplik hinnang anda. Film on loomulikult fantastiline ja vastas kõigile mu ootustele ning enamgi. Usun, et sel läheb kinodes väga hästi. Inception't tahan ka teist korda näha, et filmis selgusele jõuda. Battle Royale'ga Katusekinos oli selline lugu, et subtiitreid jagus ainult pooleks filmiks. Vabandati ilusasti ja anti kõigile asenduspilet. Film näidati tegelikult lõpuni ja nii ma seal istusin ning proovisin Jaapani keelt õppida.

Katusekinos käisin veel Baraka seansil, mis oli ainulaadne kogemus. Selline film sobib perfektselt lageda taeva all vaatamiseks. Pärast vaatasin Koyaanisqatsi veel otsa, mis meeldis veidi rohkem kui hilisem järeltulija.

Kuu naljakaim sketch

Offtopic: Dokumenteerimise mõttes mainin, et kuu alguses installeerisin XP'd (jah, ma kasutan ikka seda). Eelmine XP install oli mul 21. oktoobril 2006, et mõne kuu pärast oleks saanud neljandat aastapäeva tähistada... Proovisin muidu Win 7't ka, aga arvuti streikis. Muud "põnevat" vist ei teinud. Ahjaa, miks Holland ei võitnud!? Soprano out.

Märtsi kokkuvõte

Kuud mööduvad märkamatult ning jälle on paras ports filme ja seriaale alla kugistatud. Märtsi alguses olid kavas nägemata klassikad (mu hetke IMDb Top 250), siis mõned Oscarile kandideerinud filmid ja seejärel kõike läbisegi. Kuu lõpus oli Hiina filmide nädal (tasuta), mille raames jõudsin kahte filmi vaatama. Häbi neile, kes tasuta kinos ei käinud...

Oscarite ennustuses läks mul täppi 17/24 kategooriast ja sain tasuks Star Trek'i DVD. Tänu Forza öeldud paarile sõnale õiges kohas sain ka "töö" filmipood.ee "blogijana". Hetkel pole muidugi kindel kaua seal õnnestub kanda kinnitada, kuid igatahes esimene "palk" on juba käes. Where the Wild Things Are Blu-ray'd õnnestuski näha nende väikeses kinosaalis, sest teatavasti see film meie kinodesse ei jõudnud.

Ma seekord ei räägi ühestki filmist pikemalt, kuid see-eest panin kõik IMDb lingid. Kui kedagi huvitab, siis mõnest mölisesin Filmiveebis: Alice in Wonderland, The Box, Edge of Darkness, New Moon.

Märtsis algas kauaoodatud HBO miniseriaal The Pacific. Seoses sellega vaatasin lõpuks ka Clint Eastwood'i Flags of Our Fathers ja Letters from Iwo Jima. Uute hooaegadega jätkasid Breaking Bad, South Park, Nurse Jackie ja United States of Tara. Ootamatult jõudis kunagine veebiseriaal Pure Pwnage ka teleekraanile, mille esimesed osad olid täitsa head.

Lühifilmidest mainin kiirelt Spike Jonze I'm Here (30 min.), mida soovitan kohe kodulehelt vaadata.

Kuu enim kuulatud lugu oli Drummer - Mature Fantasy. Muide üheks Drummer'i bändiliikmeks on The Black Keys trummar... Muusika kohta olen tahtnud iga kuu pikemalt kirjutada, aga pole lihtsalt viitsinud. :/

Täiesti OT: kuu lõpus hakkas mu monitor streikima ja viisin selle garantiisse. Õnneks ikka kehtis 3 aastat, sest alates 2009. a. algusest on ju garantii ainult 2 aastat. OK, hakkan nüüd poolelijäänud RoboCop'i edasi vaatama.
